Quality Assurance Manager

Relocation to Timewell, Illinois required upon start date
Job Summary:The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for maintaining the quality management system in accordance with the Timewell Quality Manual and NTPEP standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of ownership of the quality program and the product, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Audit the implementation of the quality system.
- Initiate requests for and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate measuring and test equipment.
- Perform inspections and testing in accordance with the quality plan.
- Handle non-conforming products and manage their resolution.
- Coordinate document control activities and maintain inspection records.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance.
- Serve as the company’s representative to quality assurance and testing organizations.
- Collaborate with engineering to set or adjust product specifications.
- Maintain the Quality Manual.
- Control and maintain standards and reference documents.
- Initiate non-conformance reports.
- Maintain or coordinate traceability records.
- Assist with reviewing and approving work instructions and workmanship standards.
- Define, manage, and supervise all inspection activities.
- Plan and schedule internal quality audits.
- Train internal auditors.
- Identify training needs related to the quality system, safety, and other company-wide systems and issues.
- Associate’s degree in a quality program or 2 years of equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills conducive to effective professional communication.
- Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
