JOB TITLE: Efficiency and Performance Analyst

LOCATION: Houston, TX

POSITION REPORTS TO: Manager of Efficiency and Performance

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience

SCHEDULE: Full-Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, modify, maintain, and distribute reports as assigned by manager
  • Assist with data collection, manipulation, and validation of various reports
  • Responsible for preparing and analyzing daily driver performance reports
  • Develop a strong understanding of the source systems that pass data to the reporting systems, the relationships within the data and how the data is used. Use this knowledge to identify errors, correct the data, and provide analysis of findings
  • Create new reports using SQL from source systems as assigned by manager
  • Identify and propose process and productivity improvements as needed
  • Create reporting automations to enhance efficiency
  • Identify, share, and track trends related to driver efficiency
  • Create and/or improve new or existing Tableau-Power BI dashboards
  • Work closely with Operations Managers companywide to communicate and advise on performance data findings
  • Brief manager on daily issues
  • Attend and possibly leads team meetings to discuss important topics related to performance
  • Participate in various job duties/responsibilities and special projects as directed
  • Maintain honest and ethical conduct, including the ethical handling of data
  • Other related tasks as assigned by manager

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be local, willingness to work in the office
  • Ability to analyze and make decisions based on data and explain and support reasoning for decision
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple demands
  • Ability to prepare and present presentations to management team
  • Promote and support company's goals and values
  • Respectful and considerate of others, regardless of their status or position within the organization
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, including knowledge in formulas, pivot tables, and lookups
  • Intermediate skills in Tableau, PowerBI, and SQL
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and challenge assumptions
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to extract, consolidate, and organize data from several different sources accurately
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

PREFERRED

  • Experience in the fuel transportation industry
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with Samsara or similar fleet management software
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report generation
  • Prior experience in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Computer Science
