Job Title: SVOC Analyst

Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable SVOC Analyst to conduct specialized testing of environmental samples for semi-volatile organic compounds. The SVOC Analyst will utilize advanced instrumentation, including GC-MS, and will play a crucial role in ensuring that our data meets high-quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct sample preparation and analysis of air, water, and soil samples for SVOCs using GC-MS, or other specialized instrumentation.
• Interpret complex data sets, ensuring all findings meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Record, analyze, and document results, maintaining accurate records and adhering to quality assurance protocols.
• Follow laboratory safety guidelines and maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
• Support process improvement initiatives and assist in the development of laboratory procedures and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in SVOC analysis, preferably using GC-MS.
• Knowledge of environmental testing protocols and quality standards (e.g., EPA methods).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
