We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at New Leader Academy. As a Social Worker, you will support the emotional, social, and academic development of our students. You will work closely with students, families, educators, and other professionals to provide counseling, develop intervention strategies, and connect families with community resources. The ideal candidate has a strong background in social work, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping children thrive in their educational environment.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and academic issues

Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement intervention strategies

Assess students' needs and create personalized support plans

Connect students and families with community resources and services

Maintain accurate and detailed records of student interactions and progress

Advocate for students' well-being and work to create a positive school environment

Participate in the development and implementation of school policies related to student welfare

Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution

Currently licensed as a Social Worker in the state of Illinois

Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all students
