This position calls for an educator who will play a vital role in executing our established dynamic movement-oriented learning framework, which emphasizes movement-based education.
Our educational philosophy prioritizes not only academic success but also the sensory requirements of children, incorporating elements such as music, rhythm, auditory experiences, and the utilization of advanced digital technology to enhance learning and motivation. This environment offers a truly unique experience for both students and staff engaged in our program.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong sense of enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to actively engage in the dynamic program we have developed for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the high-quality existing dynamic educational program that aligns with our structured movement-based model, ensuring compliance with our guidelines while also infusing personal and professional creativity within the established framework.
- Actively participate in the program that promotes dynamic movement throughout the school day in various settings, both indoors and outdoors, modeling and engaging in movement activities to encourage student involvement.
- Possess knowledge of various digital and standard curricular materials and programs, with the ability to adapt to new programs as they are introduced at New Leader Academy.
- Collaborate with a diverse team that includes not only educators within our program but also parents and community organizations to enrich the educational experience and ensure effective implementation of project-based learning integrated with real-life community systems.
- Bring innovative, professional, and pedagogical approaches to teaching to your own group of students and to our program, enhancing the curriculum and instructional methods within the framework of our program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on the latest educational research and practices.
- Ability to manage a classroom that includes students with diverse behavioral responses and educational/sensory needs.
- Flexible personality and adaptive approach to education, essential for navigating the dynamic environment of a new school startup.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of participating in and facilitating dynamic physical activities throughout the school day.
- Able to handle the physical demands of working with children of various abilities, including moving and assisting children as necessary.
