REPORTS TO:

Director of Engineering, Epsilon Industries

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review project data, emails and scope of work information to create and incorporate into project drawings sets.
  • Develop required project drawing sets for proposals as directed.
  • Develop required project drawing sets for submittals as directed
  • Update the project 'Weights' spreadsheet as required.
  • Update drawing(s) with changes as directed
  • Create 2D and 3D models for customers when requested
  • Provide assistance to senior designers when directed, and interface with the Director of Engineering, or his designate, for clarifications and resolution to issues.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal design team members
  • Assist in the preparation of 'As-Builds' for installation and operations manuals when required
  • Assist in any other tasks as directed
  • Be willing to travel both domestically and internationally if required
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
  • Accountable for the accuracy and quality of the design with technical specifications,
and regulatory/statutory requirements as directed
  • Accountable for timely and effective support for request for proposal responses
  • Accountable for timely and effective support for submittal responses
  • Compliant to all departmental design practices and processes
  • Compliant with Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain an excellent attendance & punctuality record
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Qualified Engineering Technologist / Technician /Draftsman
  • 2-5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably within HVAC
  • Proficient in Solid Works, AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, EPDM
  • Employ a friendly personality, respectful of co-workers and be able to work with individuals as part of a team
  • Able to multitask and work efficiently in a demanding environment
  • Motivated self-starter with high level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and time management skills
  • Able to take direction and communicate with others
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that are expected for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Perform work sitting and using computers for 8-10 hours per day
  • Employee may occasionally be exposed to moderate noise levels when out in the plant environment
  • The employee may occasionally have to do some light lifting during the course of performing his/her job
  • Have specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
