Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical procurement support
- Prepare technical procurement packages
- Process special orders, including requisitions, justifications, and salient specifications
- Input and update procurement data across various databases and systems
- Drafting Support: Develop engineering drawings for instruments and equipment
- Work from design sketches and prototype equipment
- Ensure drawings accurately reflect design requirements and manufacturing considerations
- Conduct initial checks of drawings prepared by others
- Prepare illustrations and schematics for manuals and publications
- Maintain drawing files and distribute copies of engineering drawings
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Relevant educational background in hydrology, electronics, mechanics, or computer-aided drafting
- Knowledge of hydrologic data collection and instrumentation
- Proficiency in drafting and developing engineering drawings
- Ability to work with databases and procurement systems
- Experience in preparing technical documents and illustrations
- Strong customer service skills and effective communication with stakeholders
- Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting abilities
- Understanding of warehousing and logistics for hydrologic equipment
- Experience in hydrology, electronics, mechanics, or related fields
- Familiarity with technical procurement and drafting support
- Experience with hydrologic instruments and equipment development and maintenance
- Must meet pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
