Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Procurement Support:
Prepare comprehensive technical procurement documentation. - Order Processing:
Handle special orders, including requisitions, justifications, and detailed specifications. - Data Management:
Input, scan, and update procurement information in various databases and systems. - Drafting and Design:
Generate engineering schematics for instruments and equipment based on design sketches or prototypes. - Quality Assurance:
Conduct initial checks on drawings produced by colleagues to ensure accuracy. - Documentation and Illustrations:
Create illustrations and schematics for manuals, publications, or presentations, and maintain drawing files. - Additional Duties:
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Educational background in hydrology, electronics, mechanics, or computer-aided drafting is preferred.
- Familiarity with hydrologic data collection and instrumentation.
- Proficient in drafting and engineering drawing development.
- Experience with databases and procurement systems.
- Strong skills in preparing technical documents and illustrations.
- Excellent customer service abilities and effective communication skills.
- Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting expertise.
- Understanding of logistics and warehousing for hydrologic equipment.
- Experience in hydrology, electronics, mechanics, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in technical procurement and drafting support.
- Familiarity with hydrologic instruments and equipment maintenance.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated starting salary range for the Technical Procurement Specialist Engineer position is negotiable and commensurate with experience. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other potential benefits, subject to change without notice.
