Position Information

Position Overview

The Manager of Financial Reporting's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: preparation of all SEC filings on Form 8-K, Forms 10-Q and 10-K, proxy statement, Section 16 filings, XBRL compliance, and any other filings as deemed necessary. In addition, this position will be involved in reviewing, assessing, and documenting new accounting standards; writing technical accounting memos; assisting in implementation of new accounting standards; debt covenant compliance reporting; assisting in the accounting and maintenance of the Company's stock plans; assisting in the preparation of income tax provisions and providing requests for income tax return compliance; and maintaining a strong system of internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, including providing requests to auditors as requested related to quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position will also assist with acquisition due diligence and any accounting and financial reporting matters associated with future acquisitions or divestitures, including purchase accounting. Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
  • Prepare SEC filings
  • Technical accounting research and implementation
  • Income tax provisions, compliance, and other tax matters
  • Stock plan administration and accounting
  • Purchase accounting
  • Internal financial reporting and analysis
  • Audit assistance
  • Other projects as necessary
Qualifications

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or related field, CPA (preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with above job functions
  • Big 4 public accounting experience highly preferred
Qualifications
  • Knowledge and application of GAAP standards (revenue recognition, income taxes, business combinations, stock compensation, leases)
  • Experience preparing financial statements in compliance with GAAP and SEC standards (XBRL compliance), proxy statements and Section 16 compliance for officers and directors
  • Income tax provision accounting and tax compliance
  • Advanced Excel skills and other data analytic skills will be crucial to this job
  • Experience with accounting software, tax provisions, financial reports
  • Demonstrated strong leadership ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills; Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Solid analytical, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
  • Must be a self-starter, having the ability to multi-task and prioritize activities to meet deadlines as required under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
