INVENTORY CONTROL TEAM LEAD JOB SUMMARY (4:30 AM START

TIME)

Inventory Control Team Lead directs a team of three towards completion of accurate daily cycle

counts of full inventory. Inventory consists of fresh fruit, produce, and a small line of dairy and

eggs. Inventory count will occur before operations open for the day.

Responsibilities
• Generate daily count sheets;
• Manage the count process, while participating in cycle counts;
• Ensuring cycle count entries are accurate and complete in a timely manner;
• Follow through on inventory count discrepancies;
• Track inventory rotation and leave corrective notes for Inventory Rotation Team Lead;
• Cross train Repacking Team Lead on cycle count process when this position opens up;
• Assist Shipping Team Lead as needed;
• Special projects;
• Work collaboratively across to departments to address company needs as they evolve;
• Maintain a team of inventory count clerks.

Qualification and requirements
• High School diploma required
• Previous inventory experience required
• Previous management experience required
• Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
• Dependable and reliable
• Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be

required

• Enjoys identifying and solving problems

Physical Demands and Abilities
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and

arms and talk or hear
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move

objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
• Safely operate electric pallet jacks and possibly a reach machine, and to push or

pull a hand truck
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision,

color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
• Specific hearing abilities required for this job include adequate hearing over a

loud work environment in which several pieces of machinery are frequently

running including pallet jacks, large shipping vehicles, motors, engines, etc.
• Frequently required to enter and exit large refrigerated coolers, as well as work

in warehouse open to outdoor temperatures during shipping and/or receiving.

Must be able to tolerate working in temperatures ranging from 25 degrees up to

100 degrees; work environment may be cool and wet
• Ability to multitask, reprioritize, and to make quick decisions and follow

commands of supervising staff
• Meet attendance standards
