Job Summary:

The Network Architect will support existing large-scale enterprise network systems, architect new solutions, and provide Tier 3 support for incident response. They will collaborate with teams to maintain and configure network devices and software, provide strategic direction for network enhancements, and transition to software-defined enterprise networking.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design wireless LANs, WANs, datacenter networks, and industrial control communications systems
  • Provide Cisco switching and routing expertise for wireless networks
  • Evaluate impacts of new wireless network solutions
  • Measure, monitor, and plan network performance
  • Design and implement firewall and network monitoring solutions
  • Engage with the customer and other organizations to define project requirements
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentorship
  • Collaborate with the security team for compliance

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • CCIE certification plus five years OR ten years' experience in enterprise network architecture
  • Five years of experience configuring Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access devices
  • Experience with VLAN architectures and scripting languages
  • Knowledge of network operations, hardware, and monitoring
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in network design, VPN services, VoIP implementation, IP address management, and cloud network services

Desired Skills:

  • CCIE Certification, CWSP, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Network project management experience
  • Deep understanding of wireless security protocols
  • Experience with NetScout AirMagnet Wifi Analyzers and ServiceNow
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification
  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi 6 technology and migration strategies
