This position is based in Temple, TX, which will require the candidate to report and work from the office on a regular basis. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute commute to Temple, TX.

The Customer Master Data Sr Analyst will perform in-depth analysis of customer performance against contractual requirements to enable financial and business insights that drive value-added decisions and effective customer master data maintenance. Serve as subject matter expert for the management of customer master data that impacts customer invoicing and accurate application of excise taxes. Perform analysis of the impact of changes in the Employment Cost Index (ECI), sales, and store counts on customer pricing based on Distribution Services Agreements (DSAs). Work with Sales to understand customer pricing changes and update these changes within the system. Manage McLane Customer and Product Master Data Profiles in the system which impact the accurate application of contractual adjustments, price increases (taking into consideration any agreements related to price protection), fair trade, and excise taxes within customer invoices. Work with Sales, Legal, Accounting and Operations Leadership to ensure compliance with customer Distribution Services Agreements (DSAs).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide analytical reviews and summaries of critical data used in making decisions, which impact the revenue growth and profitability of the business unit.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Merchandising and Operations to ensure accurate information is used for customer master data maintenance and analysis.
  • Understand the standard Distribution Services Agreement and the Distribution Services Agreement variations among customers and identify the variations for the McLane teams and systems impacted by those variations.
  • Analyze, apply, and manage contractual adjustments, analysis and calculations including, but not limited to:
    • Employment Cost Index (ECI)
    • Customer sales volume
    • Customer store counts
    • Annual average sales per store per week (APSW)
    • Customer specifics and measurables

  • Manage the correct implementation of McLane Customer and Product Master Data Profiles for contractual adjustments, price increases taking into consideration price protection, fair trade, and excises taxes as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on accounting, finance, or other area relevant to role of position.
  • Three or more years' experience analyzing data and determining logical conclusions.
  • In depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
  • Ability to understand and interpret industry trends and develop dynamic models.
  • Ability to dig into detail, manage complexity and drive decision making.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Tableau and Alteryx experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and data sources.
  • Ability to work comfortably with and gain the trust of senior leaders in the company.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
