General Job Description:

We are in search of a seasoned product marketing manager to help us unlock the potential of hundreds of thousands of children that we serve around the world. WPS is the leading independent publisher of clinical and educational assessments that assist in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders. We require a Product Marketing Manager to conduct market research, develop product positioning, and orchestrate go-to-market. You will be marketing’s subject matter expert on WPS products, leading sales and marketing enablement activities and providing insight into packaging and pricing strategies. You will be at the forefront of maximizing the appeal and market penetration of our new suite of digital solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Research: Conduct market research
    1. Product: target market, technical features, roadmap, sales trends
    2. Competitor: product offerings, packaging, pricing, messaging, positioning
    3. Customer: behaviors, interviews, surveys, CSAT, advocacy, top accounts, buyer journey
    4. Industry: market trends, keyword analysis, secondary research reports, regulations
  • Strategy Development:Articulate a product marketing strategy that drives business goals
    1. Synthesize research into key insights to drive go-to-market strategy and guide continuous improvement efforts
    2. Create Ideal Customer Profiles and Buyer Personas specific to the purchase journey
    3. Develop product positioning. Identify key selling points and points of differentiation relative to the competition. Create a clear laddering between technical features, functional benefits, and emotional benefits.
    4. Proactively collaborate with sales, marketing, product, R&D and other departments to socialize the strategy iteratively and often with the why behind the go-to-market proposal, that demonstrates how success is achievable
  • Go-to-market: Orchestrate product launch activities to achieve strategic goals
    1. Build and manage a calendared GTM plan with milestones
    2. Shepherd creative briefs, sales collateral and sales trainings
    3. Develop distributor channel collateral for WPS published products
    4. Ensure product pages deliver key messaging to drive on-page sales conversion
    5. Create press kit & product storytelling
  • Quarterly & Annual Planning:Set key performance indicators, track and optimize
    1. Prioritize product marketing support tiers commensurate with business potential
    2. Ensure that channel marketing plans align with product marketing priorities
    3. Evaluate, adjust, and sustain key performance indicators vs. strategy
    4. Manage and implement a refresh calendar for product marketing assets
    5. Manage a product marketing content hub to ensure easy and ready access to assets
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Marketing
  • Experience building partnerships with Product Management, Sales and cross-functional teams, and shaping GTM roadmaps and strategies
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams
  • Expert communicator, able to translate strategies into effective sales and marketing assets
  • Strong analytical skills, adept at translating to insights that support product development and go to market strategies
  • Advanced knowledge of consumer behavior and marketing research, able to proactively and independently seek out required inputs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a School Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, or Speech Language Pathologist
  • Experience in the psychological and educational assessment industry, with knowledge of psychological test administration, scoring and interpretation

The ability to persuade others, to present one’s viewpoint in such a way that it is accepted by others. The ability to understand the needs, interests, strengths, and weaknesses of others. And to utilize this information for contributing to the growth and development of others.
  • Results Orientation - the ability to identify actions necessary to achieve task completion and to obtain results; the ability to meet schedules, deadlines, quotas, and performance goals.

Travel:

10-20% travel to attend trade conferences and meetings with clients.
