Richmond Community Services is dedicated to providing high-quality care and services to individuals in our community residences. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clinical Administrative Assistant to support our Nursing Coordinator and clinical team.
Job Summary:
The Clinical Administrative Assistant will coordinate medical appointments, maintain medical records, and provide administrative support to the nursing team. This role ensures effective communication between external healthcare providers, internal staff, and residents, contributing to the overall quality of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all external medical appointments for community residence individuals.
Prepare and track medical consent packages.
Maintain and update medical records, including lab reports and hospital visit data.
Arrange transportation for medical appointments and obtain Medicaid prior approvals as needed.
Provide administrative support, including data entry, documentation, and communication with healthcare providers.
Audit medical charts for missing reports and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
Notify staff of scheduled appointments and maintain the shared calendar.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Business/Secretarial School graduate preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical setting highly preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to handle confidential information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. This is a non-exempt position according to FLSA standards.
