Ability to interact with employees, managers, and others in both positive and challenging situations. * Proficient in using Adobe and Microsoft Office software suite with advanced skills in Word and Outlook. Ability to learn software programs and perform updates to websites and social media sites. * Effective proofreading, formatting, and editing skills. * Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, as this position has frequent contact and access to confidential information. * Ability to build effective working relationships with agency staff, Governor’s Office staff, other agency staff, vendors, and others. * Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality work output. * Able to adapt to changes in the work environment; management of competing priorities; and capacity to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. * Appropriate identification and resolution of problems within areas of responsibility. * Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as file and record management, taking meeting minutes, and other office procedures. /Preferred:/ * Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain this certification. * Familiarity of the structure and operation of state government and the legislative process.
