Job Description

As a Control Systems Integration Engineer on our Industrial Facilities Engineering & Design team, your primary role will be the leading the design, programming, and startup of control systems for various projects including water, wastewater, thermal energy, oil & gas, power, and industrial. 

This position involves communication and coordination with other engineering disciplines, teams, subconsultants, clients, vendors, and contractors. You will be responsible for leading development of PLC and HMI programming, performing system startups, supervision of automation staff, providing ongoing support of existing automation systems, and participation in pursuit of new projects and clients. This position will require occasional travel to project sites for meetings, information collection, and startup activities. Additional duties will include:

  • PLC programming, primarily Allen Bradley (Studio5000).  Other platforms, including Siemens and GE Fanuc, are a plus.
  • HMI programming, primarily Wonderware System Platform, Inductive Automation Ignition, and VTSCADA.  Other platforms, including Rockwell ViewSE, are a plus.
  • Operator Interface Terminal programming including Allen Bradley Panelview and Automation Direct Cmore.  Other platforms, including Siemens, are a plus.
  • Control system software installation.
  • Providing lead programming and automation staff supervision on system integration projects.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance in system setup and programming tasks.
  • Leading on-site control system startup efforts.
  • Developing and maintain client relationships.
  • Selection and specification of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) equipment.
  • Assistance with control system design and specification, including instrumentation, schematic development, wiring diagrams, and developing control system sequences of operations.

We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Lincoln, NE or Omaha, NE offices.

  • 3 + years of control system integration experience. 
  • Passion for mentoring others to help grow a business unit.
  • Hands on technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems, Ethernet networking, and SCADA systems.
  • Ability to lead others.
