Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP's Platform Division is seeking an experienced Software Engineer. Aspart of the Unmanned Systems (UxS) Support team, you will be designing anddeveloping front-end and back-end software for unmanned systems and its' userswhile experiencing all aspects of a software development life cycle as a memberof a fast-paced agile team.

Dutiesinclude creating software design documents to capture the current system,resolving bugs, developing new features, peer reviewing code for accuracy, aswell as integration and test of the system, both in office and out in thefield.

Aperson who is successful in this role:

  • Displays initiative and can work well alone or as a member of a team.
  • Reviews software products for soundness of technical judgment and adequacy.
  • Interacts with senior software personnel and customers through both written andverbal communication.
  • Produces documentation related to the design and release of software artifacts.
  • Develops complete software solutions, and influences the successful completionof supported programs and projects.
  • Understands and utilizes agile software development methods, automation, andcontinuous integration.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Assistand participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of a keyfeature in the ground control station for UxS including development of new workproducts or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
  • Design,code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
  • Workon problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
  • Participatein daily scrums, 2-3 week sprints, demonstration and retrospective ceremonies.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
Experience with C++, Python, Angular, Typescript, and Linux based operating systems.

Experience: 10-15 years of experience as a Software Engineer, preferably within the DoD sector.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience using Atlassian tools (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence, Bamboo) and GitLab.
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of systems software design, operating systems and architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers & colleagues.
