Lead Mechanical Assembler

We are currently seeking a candidate with previous leadership experience for a client in North Canton, Ohio

Shift:

1st Shift, Monday - Thursday, 6:00AM - 4:30PM + Overtime as needed

Pay:

$20-25/hr Based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in interview and new hire selection
  • Train employees; assist in new employee training plans
  • Delegate tasks to team members
  • Manage call offs, reroute tasks
  • Communicate within department and with other departments to resolve issues
  • Track job efficiency and productivity
  • Drive timely completion of jobs
  • Lead safety meetings, quality initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Perform general assembly tasks-less than half the time
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Manufacturing experience in an "engineer to order" setting (custom products)
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Blueprint reading
  • Self-starter, motivated
  • Time management, prioritizing tasks
  • Must be comfortable using computers
