Position Overview: To design and develop menswear knits and sweaters at Duluth Trading Company. Utilize trends, innovations, and customer insights to inform the design process. Manage creative process and adhere to calendar deliverables. Maintain expert knowledge of market trends through research and travel. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and functionality through innovative product design
  • Analyze customer insights, market sales, and industry trends
  • Research and develop fabrics, trims, and textile technologies
  • Manage and maintain vendor relationships
  • Create seasonal color palettes and manage seasonal designs
  • Build all relevant seasonal information in PLM software and update and maintain
  • Facilitate product demonstrations and engagement with test and trades panel

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Apparel Design or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in apparel design and development
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Expertise in knit construction and fabrications
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PLM system
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with time constraints
