The Content Creation Specialist is a dynamic visual storyteller who brings stories to life in creative and innovative ways. This role is integral to shaping and executing our content strategy across various channels, with a focus on social media and video production. The Content Creation Specialist will craft compelling visual and written content that amplifies our mission, engages audiences, and boosts support for our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management: Develop and execute a robust social media strategy to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement. Create, schedule, and publish content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Monitor social channels, engage with the online community, and respond to comments. Analyze performance metrics and refine strategies with the Creative Manager to optimize results.
  • Videography: Plan, film, and edit high-quality videos that tell the story of our organization's impact. Produce diverse content, including promotional videos, interviews, event coverage, and social media clips. Collaborate on storyboarding and scripting, manage video projects from start to finish, and ensure proper formatting for each platform.
  • Photography: Capture and edit high-quality photos to highlight programs, events, and milestones. Maintain a well-organized photo archive for easy future use. Ensure all photography and videography equipment is in excellent condition and ready for shoots.
  • Content Creation: Partner with the Marketing and Development (MarDev) team to create digital and print content, such as blog posts, newsletters, infographics, and graphics. Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all materials. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in social media, videography, and photography.
  • Event Coverage: Attend and document relevant events and activities, contributing to a visual record that supports our mission and content strategy.

Requirements

Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Film, Photography, or related field or demonstrated 2+ years of equivalent experience and competency.
  • Basic language, written and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, if needed.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
  • The Content Creation Specialist will have prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, stoop, and stand for prolonged periods while working photo/video shoots, or covering Pathfinder events.
  • They shall have adequate vision, writing, and documentation skills to perform the essential functions of the job.
