As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Pediatric Gastroenterology, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our young patients. Located at Albany Medical Center, 22 New Scotland Ave, Albany, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children facing gastroenterological issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced knowledge in anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to deliver specialized care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans while maintaining a strong focus on family-centered care.
- Provide education and resources to patients and their families to support health management.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for new staff and students.
- Ensure smooth patient processing and discharge through effective team leadership during clinical shifts.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current NP license and certifications in Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to navigate computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems with ease.
