Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Neuroprogressive Care unit at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans.

About the Role:

  • Administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong educational background and relevant experience as a Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). A valid license to practice nursing in the state of New York is also required.

Salary Information: The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
