Position Summary
The Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing various financial and administrative tasks within the division.

Job Duties:

Finance/Accounting Operations:

  • Manage the processing of invoices
  • Research payment history and other billing issues and act as primary point of contact for vendor payment questions.
  • Manage the organization and payment of utility bills, conduct research and follow-up on utility invoices that need to be redirected.
  • Assist division Director, Finance with commission calculations for the division including utilizing commission software.
  • Respond to sales/closing reporting requests from local groups or agencies, including tax advisors.
  • Perform ad hoc sales and marketing analysis.
Escrow Management:
  • Manage and assist with all homes currently in escrow.
  • Track current dates and adjust in Sales software.
  • Adjust pricing/change orders as needed in Sales software.
  • Communicate with lenders and realtors to ensure homes can be closed as scheduled. Assist with necessary changes.
  • Coordinate with all title companies.
Managerial Responsibility:
This position does not supervise other employees.

Position Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a college degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of professional experience; homebuilder operations and Newstar experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven track record of multi-tasking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with various personality types within the team.
  • Must be resourceful and self-sufficient, with the ability to independently navigate challenges and find solutions with minimal supervision.

Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is between $65,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience and skillset. Base Salary is paid bi-weekly, every other Friday. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on divisional and individual performance.

Physical Activities
The position involves performing stationary work for extended periods, which includes sitting at a desk, using a computer for typing and data entry, and handling repetitive tasks. Additionally, the role may require occasional physical activities such as standing, walking short distances within the office, bending, and lifting or carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds.
