Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The Mammography Technologist will perform diagnostic mammography procedures and provide compassionate care to patients undergoing breast imaging examinations. As a Mammography Technologist with us, you will occupy a pivotal position in our mission. Working under general supervision and in collaboration with the Radiologist, you will conduct mammography procedures, ranging from routine to complex.

Responsibilities:
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to established protocols. Position patients correctly and operate mammography equipment to obtain high-quality images. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, addressing any concerns or questions. Review and evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper positioning and exposure. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to discuss patient histories and examination results. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures, findings, and patient information. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including radiation safety and quality control measures. Assist in the training and supervision of student technologists and other staff members as needed. Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and procedures through continuing education and training.
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography. State licensure as a Mammography Technologist (where applicable). Strong knowledge of mammography principles, techniques, and equipment operation. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. Willingness to adhere to ethical and professional standards in healthcare practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in mammography or breast imaging. Proficiency in using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image storage and retrieval. Experience with 3D mammography (tomosynthesis) technology. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Work Environment: The Mammography Technologist will primarily work in a clinical setting, such as a hospital, imaging center, or outpatient clinic. The role may involve standing for extended periods and assisting patients of varying physical abilities.
