Job Summary:

eJangar Inc is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanning equipment to create detailed cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs, bones, tissues, and blood vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and verify patient identity according to hospital or facility protocols.
  • Explain CT scan procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and what to expect.
  • Prepare patients for CT scans, including positioning them correctly on the examination table.
  • Administer oral or intravenous contrast agents when necessary under the guidance of a physician.
  • Operate CT scanning equipment to capture images of the designated body area as requested by the physician.
  • Adjust scan parameters and settings based on the type of scan (e.g., head, chest, abdomen) to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Monitor patient during the scan for any signs of discomfort or complications and provide assistance if needed.
  • Review CT images for quality and clarity before forwarding them to the radiologist for interpretation.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited program.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography (R) required.
  • ARRT (CT) certification or eligibility to obtain certification in CT scanning is highly preferred.
  • State licensure (if required by state regulations).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Work Environment:

The work is performed in a hospital, outpatient imaging center, or other healthcare facilities. May be exposed to radiation and must follow strict safety protocols to minimize risks. Requires standing for extended periods, positioning patients, and operating equipment. Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, or holidays, depending on facility needs.
