Join Our Team as an Accounting Manager

Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level? We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team and report directly to the Controller. If you love numbers and enjoy leading a team, this might be the perfect role for you

What You'll Do:

  • Create Financial Magic: Prepare GAAP and STAT financial statements with precision.
  • Reinsurance Rockstar: Record reinsurance transactions and create billings like a pro.
  • Reporting Guru: Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory reports and schedules.
  • Master of Consolidation: Consolidate group financials into the holding company.
  • Balance Sheet Buff: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Cash Commander: Manage cash flow with expertise.
  • Close with Confidence: Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
  • Information Whiz: Report all monthly financial information on time.
  • Efficiency Expert: Monitor and analyze department work to improve procedures and resource use.
  • Advisor Extraordinaire: Guide staff on non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Inquiry Handler: Respond to financial results inquiries and special reporting requests.
  • Audit Assistant: Help prepare workpapers for annual audits.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Team Leader: Manage and mentor team members.
  • Direction and Coordination: Oversee the direction, coordination, and evaluation of team members.
What You Bring:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Insurance knowledge: Property & Casualty experience required.
  • Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Excel Expertise: Intermediate or advanced Excel experience required.
