Job Title: Inventory Controller - 3rd ShiftJob Description We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Controller for our Knoxville, TN lab. This role is 100% onsite and requires working Monday to Friday from 10:30pm to 7:00am. You will be responsible for performing both physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment. Responsibilities Perform physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment. Perform administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment, including using computer systems, internet searches, and telephone follow-ups. Receive materials, supplies, and specimens from delivery services and document receipts on appropriate logs. Unpack and reconcile products against packing lists. Troubleshoot, communicate, investigate, and begin resolution for all in-bound and out-bound sample shipment delays. Organize all materials, supplies, and specimens in the appropriate storage areas. Inspect stocks and distribute inventory materials, ensuring inventory control security and accountability. Prepare and organize materials for shipment to other locations and maintain shipping records. Follow all safety regulations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Handle bio-hazardous waste in a safe manner. Maintain the facility, including the laboratory, grounds, and parking areas, as required by company standards and SOPs. Utilize facility-related computer systems for maintenance or security. Complete facility maintenance and repairs as assigned. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies. Promote and support EHS/safety actions at all times. Maintain a professional image and confidentiality of all company records and information. Lifting up to 50 pounds as required to perform daily tasks. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Essential Skills High School diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions Ability to complete routine forms or conduct routine oral communications Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, or logistics Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with SAP Prior experience in material handling and/or maintenance Proficiency in Microsoft Office Data entry skills Work Environment This position is based in a lab in Knoxville, TN, and requires working onsite 100% of the time. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 10:30pm to 7:00am, with opportunities for additional hours. The environment is fast-paced with frequent interruptions and involves frequent walking, standing, and bending. You may occasionally be exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood borne pathogens. The use of personal protective equipment is frequently required.
