The Sales Area Manager plays a critical role in driving sales and profitability by overseeing the operations of Tradesmen International and its field offices. This position is essential for fostering business growth and maintaining strong client relationships within the Commercial segment. Reporting directly to the Regional Vice President, you will lead a talented team to achieve both strategic and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan that aligns with the organization's goals.
  • Meet and exceed budgeted sales and profit targets through effective leadership of District Sales Managers and field offices.
  • Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to create impactful sales support materials.
  • Provide strategic guidance to District Sales Managers and Account Executives on territory and client engagement to drive incremental sales within the Commercial sector.
  • Create a positive team culture by leading with integrity and fostering a productive work environment.
  • Generate new business leads through innovative marketing efforts, including advertising, trade shows, and social media.
  • Design and present new business acquisition programs to penetrate existing clients more deeply.
  • Utilize Salesforce to monitor and report on lead generation and opportunities.
  • Oversee ongoing contract negotiations with the Regional Vice President and Legal Department.
  • Evaluate bid specifications and pricing, facilitating solutions with legal support as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with internal recruiting teams to enhance recruitment efforts for craftworkers.
  • Prepare for overnight travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years in District Sales Management or Sales Leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in management, sales, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Salesforce/CRM systems, including report and dashboard generation.
  • Strong skills in utilizing internet search engines, databases, and social media for research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Adept at solving complex problems and driving solutions to fruition.
