Job Profile

This position monitors product demand, procures required products and monitors Netceed's inventory to cover the needs of the customer. This role includes purchase of products, managing inventory levels, and strategic planning of special product buys and facilitating returns of excess or non-moving products.

Responsibilities
  • Demand Planning
    • Ensuring optimal stock availability across distribution channels to provide a positive customer experience and maximize sales opportunities
    • Estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models
    • Build inventory plans to establish appropriate stocking levels to support customer demand.
    • Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management
    • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
    • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance
    • Align with Netceed customer growth strategies to exceed market expectations
  • Buying
    • Process requisitions and update management on status of orders
    • Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules
    • Implement vendor price, delivery, and lead-time per strategic procurement agreements
    • Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels
    • Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
    • Negotiate and manage pricing and terms (freight, payment terms, MOQs)
    • Evaluate and monitor supplier performance
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process efficiencies
    • Conduct cost analyses and benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing
    • Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making


Requirements/Key Experiences
  • Prior purchasing experience is required (3-5+ Years)
  • Understanding of purchasing and inventory management practices
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented and works well in a team environment
  • Strong communication and negotiations skills
  • The ability to instigate and manage changes within a dynamic environment is essential
  • PC experience is required with Windows experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in the use of 10-key calculator, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • APICS experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software (ERP/MRP)
