Work Authorization Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed inspection of engine structural, electrical, and mechanical assemblies and systems using CAD models and blueprints.
  • Verify assemblies for conformance against engineering requirements.
  • Document nonconformances in accordance with internal procedures and communicate to resolve quality issues.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.
  • Conduct final photo documentation of hardware.
  • Handle hardware containment related to nonconformances and notices of escapement from suppliers.
  • Perform close-out, first article, in-process, and final inspections.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 5+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency working with nonconformance systems.
  • Competence in blueprint reading skills and 3D modeling.
  • Experience with electronic and mechanical testing and inspections using portable measuring devices.
  • Proficient in inspecting tight tolerance, high-value flight vehicles and systems.
  • Familiar with the use of personal computers.
  • Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates.
  • Ease with climbing ladders, stooping, bending, crawling, and mobility while working within tight spaces.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Airframe & Powerplant certificate (A&P) or ASQ CQA.
  • Experience working with aerospace propulsion assembly installation and testing processes and procedures.
  • Practical experience working within quality management systems (AS9100 and ISO 9001).
  • Strong understanding of safety programs and OSHA regulations and requirements.

Technical Skills Needed:

  1. Experience with non-conformance documentation.
  2. Basic assembly skills and experience in a general production environment.
  3. A&P certification is beneficial.
  4. Background in space systems is ideal, but experience in automotive, medical device, or aerospace industries is also valuable.
