Summary:
Our client is looking for a network automation engineer contractor for the Edge and Network Services Foundation team. This team is responsible for developing process and automation used in network deploy and repair operations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Implement network automation in Python and Go as assigned.
  • Automation systems for this team are focused on audits and diagnostics for network elements including routers, switches, and optical equipment.
  • Build and test code functions, improvements, fixes, and bugs as assigned.
  • Develop new tests and debugs for new automations. Execute tasks that are prioritized.
  • Balance high priority short term requests versus longer term more complex work.
  • Utilize time between new automation work to find and repair bugs or small code fixes.
  • Be responsive to an asynchronous work environment driven by task assignments and async text communications with few or rare meetings. Weekly self-progress reporting via same async communications.
Skills:

Education/Experience:
