Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT professional to manage and maintain our server environments, implement virtualization solutions, and ensure the overall efficiency and security of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Implement, configure, and manage virtualization solutions using VMware.

• Administer storage solutions, particularly with Pure Storage, HPE, or Cohesity technologies.

• Install, configure, and manage Red Hat Linux servers.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible to streamline administrative tasks and improve system efficiency.

• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues to ensure optimal operation.

• Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations to maintain compliance and security standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to support and enhance the overall IT infrastructure.

• Document system configurations, procedures, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies.

• Working experience managing Windows servers 2016 and newer.

• Experience with technology solutions from Pure Storage, Dell, HPE, or Cohesity.

• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux administration.

• Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.

• Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure) and services.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Work Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical discipline, and 7 years experience supporting multiple, complex and/or advanced application or IT systems.

• High School Diploma/GED and 11 years experience supporting multiple, complex and/or advanced application or IT systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Plan, prioritize, conduct, and lead assignments.

• Ability to serve as project or case manager in the development, facilitation, and implementation of metrics, processes, and procedures.

• Exceptional communication skills (oral, written, and presentation); ability to make presentations to an internal audience.

• Exceptional troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, and resolution skills.

• Excellent initiative, self-motivated, and the ability to learn.

• Work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.

• Ability to lead and direct the work of others.

• Strong knowledge of most aspects of operating administration.
