Case Manager,

ATD (Alternatives to Detention)

Position Summary

Lifeline Services is hiring an Alternatives to Detention (ATD) Case Manager to support our growing team. You will be responsible for working with youth and families around the community to provide support as they participate in group services and/or individual counseling. This is a Bachelor's Level role that will help our team reduce the chances of youth participants reoffending or further continuing in the legal/justice system.

We're looking for someone passionate, familiar with community needs and services, and open to working with challenging youth have had contact with law enforcement or are starting the court process. This role requires empathy, compassion, strong boundaries, organization/time management, and flexibility. Since your day-to-day work will be involving assessments/intakes with new families, follow-up contacts regarding how services are going, accompanying families to shop for basic needs through flexible spending provided through the program, contact with school or Probation Department, and going out to client's homes to provide in-home support.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Training in Child Abuse and/or Other Perspective Issues
  • Knowledge/Familiarity of Juvenile Justice System
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family face-to-face case management services in the community, on-site, or in-home.
  • Provide delinquency prevention activities such as: mentoring, counseling, and group facilitation (on-site & in schools)
  • Develop professional relationships with community and collaborative partners
  • Provide crisis management support as needed to caseload participants
  • Comply with all documentation requirements dictated by contact
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Schedule/Compensation

  • Full Time, 40 Hours, Non-Exempt
  • Monday to Friday, occasional weekends with advanced notice
  • Minimum of 2 late shifts per week, available until 7:30pm other days until 5:30pm.
  • [ $21.00 - $23.10] Salary will commensurate with experience and education. Differential pay offered for bilingual skills. EEO.

Additional Requirement

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with a good driving record.
  • Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed).
  • Employment subject to clearances, including background finger printing checks, driving record, tuberculosis testing, and drug testing.
