Our client is a well-known physical therapy office. They are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join their team asap who must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Salary/Hourly Rate: $17/hr Position Overview: In this role, the Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for providing the first impression of our office, as well as ensuring efficient and effective operations. The ideal Front Desk Receptionist candidate will be an exceptional communicator who is able to provide outstanding customer service to our patients and staff. Responsibilities of the Front Desk Receptionist:
  • Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner upon arrival
  • Answering incoming phone calls, screening them accordingly and transferring to appropriate personnel or department
  • Managing patient appointments by scheduling and rescheduling sessions according to therapists availability and patient needs
  • Processing patient registrations which includes verifying and updating necessary information in the patient database system
  • Assisting patients with paperwork, explaining treatment procedures, and addressing any inquiries or concerns
  • Coordinating with therapists and other personnel to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize waiting times
  • Handling billing concerns and processing payments in line with company policies
  • Ensuring the reception area is well-organized, clean, and inviting for patients and their families
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Assisting with basic administrative tasks and other related duties as assigned
Qualifications for the Front Desk Receptionist:
  • Previous experience working as a Receptionist or similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using computers and office software, with experience in healthcare databases being a plus
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact with diverse groups of people
  • Understanding of medical terminology and experience with insurance billing is a plus
Education Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED is required
