Job Summary: The Warehouse General Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations at our cabinet assembly facility located in Chattanooga, TN. This role involves managing a team, optimizing warehouse processes, managing shipping processes, ensuring inventory and job accuracy, working with franchise owners or employees across the country, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, experience in a manufacturing environment, and exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff, including cabinet builders, painters, shippers, forklift operators, and more.
    • Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and ensure staff development through training and performance evaluations.
  • Operational Oversight:
    • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including cabinet assembly, project inventory management, order fulfillment, and quality control.
    • Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate inventory records for each customer project, and oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.
    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Purchasing:
    • Oversee purchasing controls with our vendors ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards and company policies.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions to address any identified hazards.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Monitor assembly quality to ensure products meet company standards and customer specifications.
    • Address and resolve any quality issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare and analyze performance reports related to warehouse operations, inventory levels, and order fulfillment.
    • Utilize data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Customer Service:
    • Collaborate with other team members to address any issues related to product delivery, order accuracy, and client inquiries.
    • Ensure timely and accurate order processing to meet customer expectations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
