About the Position

The Warehouse Lead is a key member of the Kenco Group team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse. This includes managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient and safe operations, and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and develop warehouse associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure that all products are stored and handled in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations, including receiving and shipping, packaging, and material handling.
  • Monitor and analyze production reports to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Serve as a backup to other warehouse roles as needed and provide support to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, with 6 months of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Licensed forklift operator or ability to obtain a forklift operator license.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
