Job Overview: As a Tier 3 Network Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and resolving advanced network issues, overseeing various projects, and ensuring our systems operate seamlessly. Your role will involve onboarding and offboarding firewalls, managing backup solutions, and troubleshooting network-related tickets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project statuses and ticket resolutions.
  • Complete projects including the configuration and management of Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, backup solutions, and spam filters.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including VPN configurations (Site-to-Site and dial-up).
  • Engage in continued learning to stay current with networking technologies and practices.
Requirements

Must-Have Skills:
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching).
  • Proven experience with dynamic routing protocols, specifically OSPF and BGP.
  • Proficiency in Fortinet FortiGate firewall configuration and management, with experience in FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
Optional Skills:
  • Experience managing backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Datto BCDR, Datto SaaS, AppRiver Cloud to Cloud, N-Central Cove).
  • Familiarity with spam filtering solutions.
  • Knowledge of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure).
  • Scripting or automation experience.
