Description:

Supplemental Contract

Provide technical support for all outside activities scheduled at Twinsburg High School Auditorium and all activities at Twinsburg High School Gymnasium and Tiger Stadium. Manages technical and stage equipment for these three venues. Instructs and assists student crews. Keeps Supervisor informed about maintenance concerns and emerging issues.

Minimum
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher or qualified experience
  • Prior auditorium/theater management experience.
  • Knowledge of current theater/auditorium/scoreboard technology.
  • Proficiency in reading, math, oral and written communication.
  • Must pass a physical examination.
  • Remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
Supervisory
Responsibility:
  • Works with other staff to ensure that Twinsburg High School is in compliance with all City of Twinsburg fire, health and safety codes as well as all Board policies and administrative guidelines.
  • Serves as a consultant to staff members and community organizations involved in music, drama, television production, art, dance and community service organizations.
  • Organize and supervise student workers, while training them to work equipment under proper supervision. Students are prohibited from using the catwalk and lift.
  • Oversee the appropriate use of technical and stage equipment, including the scoreboards, sound, lights, and fly system, utilized in the Twinsburg Fine Arts Program.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Act as a proper role model for staff and students at all times.
  • Attend required professional development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned which reasonably relate to the general scope of the job description.
  • Accept direction and suggestions from immediate supervisor.
  • Attend (or ensure that a designee attends) all outside activities scheduled at Twinsburg High School Auditorium and all activities at Twinsburg High School Gymnasium or Tiger Stadium.
  • Ensure expert knowledge and provide training when necessary on the operation of the sound, lighting and visual display systems at Twinsburg High School Auditorium, sound and scoreboard system at Twinsburg High School Gymnasium, and the sound and scoreboard system at Tiger Stadium.
  • Strive to increase the efficient use of district resources in the daily operation of the Twinsburg Fine Arts Program.
  • Provide and/or advice on the specifications for the purchase of equipment for The Twinsburg Fine Arts Program.
  • Ensure the appropriate storage and handling of audio visual equipment used in the Twinsburg Fine Arts Program.
  • Work cooperatively with parents, students, staff, community groups, and District administration using effective channels of communication.
  • Assist with the general maintenance of the Twinsburg Fine Arts Program, stage, dressing rooms, and other areas recognized as part of the Twinsburg Fine Arts Program. Work with the principal in informing the custodial department of custodial and maintenance needs.
  • Follow written directions, write legibly, and complete reports using current computer hardware and software, if necessary.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills while working with students, parents, and staff in a positive public relations mode.
