Health System Services is seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department in managing administrative tasks, recruiting, onboarding processes, and project-based work such as assisting with annual audits. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and capable of handling confidential information with the utmost discretion.

About the Position
  • Administrative HR Duties:
    • Maintain and update employee records and databases.
    • Assist in the preparation and distribution of HR documents, such as employment contracts and onboarding materials.
    • Schedule and coordinate interviews, meetings, and HR events.
    • Manage HR-related correspondence, including emails and letters.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Recruitment:
    • Utilize various channels to identify and attract potential candidates, including job boards, social media platforms, and networking events.
    • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future job openings.
    • Conduct initial phone screenings for entry-level positions to evaluate candidate qualifications and fit.
    • Communicate effectively with candidates to schedule interviews and provide follow-up information.
    • Document and report on phone screening outcomes to hiring managers.
  • Onboarding:
    • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have all necessary information and documentation.
    • Facilitate and monitor pre-employment paperwork and screenings such as submitting background checks and scheduling appointments.
    • Facilitate new employee orientations and introduction sessions.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure new hires have the necessary tools and access.
  • Project-Based Work:
    • Assist with the preparation and execution of annual HR audits, ensuring all documentation and records are accurate and up-to-date.
    • Support special HR projects and initiatives as needed, providing administrative assistance and coordination.
    • Collaborate with the HR team to streamline processes and improve efficiency in project management.

Qualifications for Success
    • High school diploma or equivalent; pursuing or completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
    • 1+ years of experience in Human Resources strongly preferred.
    • 1+ years in an administrative role required.
    • Proficient with HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or related software.
    • Experience with ADP strongly preferred.
Compensation
  • $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, dependent on experience
Shift
  • 9:00am – 2:00pm, Monday – Friday
Location
  • Wheatfield, NY
