We are growing and seeking a skilled and dedicated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our diverse team in McKinney, TX.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in an IT or cybersecurity related position supporting network, software, and hardware.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our customers' network security infrastructure.

You should also have experience in server virtualization, network appliance administration and server configuration, administration, and support.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Play an active role as a contributing member of a Security Operations Center.
  • Document and record all activities using web-based ticketing systems and support requests tracking tools.
  • Developing configuration files for the replacement devices.
  • Technical support of on-site technicians during the equipment replacement, and possible on-site installation and configuration for clients.
  • Create complex security documentation (runbooks) for client environments and turnover support for those to the Tier1/2 helpdesk staff.
  • Assist with hardening and security configuration of Cloud based Assets, Servers, Networks, Storage, Containers, Virtualization
  • Review network device and computer system logs for common information used in tracking down security incidents, such as source and destination IP addresses and protocols.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct in a customer environment, demonstrate a high level of professionalism (white-collar).
  • Make recommendations for enhancing customers' cybersecurity posture based on industry technology and standards established through emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Networking Technologies, including Firewalls, Switches, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, Port Forwarding, and other disciplines.
  • Expertise in Microsoft and Linux Server Operating Systems with a focus on security.
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, and other Public Cloud Service Providers in a Security capacity.
  • Intermediate experience with VPNs, VPCs, SD-WAN, and complex IP routing/switching concepts and how they affect ingress/egress traffic.
  • Understanding of IT Service Management and ITIL concepts and directives.
  • Ability to follow instruction, be on time and provide documented reviews of work performed.
