Roles & ResponsibilitiesATS is currently seeking a suitable candidate to assist with the design, build, installation, commissioning and support of automation and control projects for manufacturers in Italy. This role will work from user requirements specifications to create functional design specifications, before taking part in factory acceptance tests, site installation, commissioning, production of operation and training manuals, and customer training.Education & experience Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study.The right candidate has up to 4 years’ experience in a similar role.A knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, MES & Industrial IT would also be advantageous in this role.An ability to self-manage the delivery of automation projects in line with an agreed FDS is critical to this position.The candidate should be an excellent communicator and be able to present ideas clearly and effectively both internally and externally.Candidates should be motivated and capable of the development and application of skills in new and existing technologies.Enthusiasm and a desire for success are character traits we are seeking as is the ability to show leadership and sensible decision making when required. Technical requirements Minimum 4 years of experience in the design, development and maintenance of cross-platform solutions for high-performance, high-availability software systemsGood Knowledge of Siemens Opcenter MES Solutions or other MES PlatformExperience with different databases is essential (MS SQL/ Oracle/ MySQL …etc.)Experience with Machine Communication for manufacturing industries. Good to have knowledge Experience in configuring, building and redistributing of third-party libraries for embedded/Linux and Microsoft Windows.Knowledge of PLC, SCADA (Wincc and/or Ignition)Web Development experience such as HTML5, JQuery, JavaScript, ExtJS, SignalRMid level of proficiency in Microsoft .NET technologiesKnowledge of Siemens Opcenter APSKnowledge of Sepasoft products The candidate will provide technical expertise related to the use of Siemens/Inductive Automation products and will work to understand customer requirements, develop technical solutions and support the customer for a successful deployment to production.What we offer:Become part of a successful, dynamic and international team delivering solution to our customers; our culture is based on cooperation and work by objectives.
