Position Purpose

The Electrical Engineer in Sealed Air helps us execute projects across the globe by always driving our customer's success by upgrading our manufacturing capabilities, providing creative solutions with your outstanding engineering skills, leading with your strong project management and electrical design skills, building the best working environment, and partnering with diverse and multicultural teams to keep us as the best in the packaging industry.

  • To use your Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of electrical design, project engineering and strong technical skills to solve the most complex engineering challenges from solution development, equipment specification, design to start up.
  • Our manufacturing operations will see you as a leading role in the project's full life cycle management. Therefore, you will be involved with generating innovative ideas, planning, managing stakeholders, meeting milestones, executing, and closing the project.
  • Our global engineers will see you as an expert in the packaging equipment (extrusion and converting production equipment), so you will be able to make a difference on our journey to Manufacturing 4.0 providing guidance and support, thinking out of the box to improve what is done today. The work may entail establishing network connectivity, logic development and implementation as well as platform development using tools such as Ignition, etc.
  • To use your communication skills as a key to successful and effective project management.
  • To use your strong technical skills to develop control systems for our production lines. You will design, implement, program, and troubleshoot control systems by utilizing your experience with PLCs (mostly Allen Bradley), HMIs and industrial networks such as Ethernet IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, etc. You will also configure motor control systems, variable frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems. This will help you meet the goals and make the world better than we found it.
  • To apply electrical engineering skills to improve proprietary equipment/technology, troubleshoot failures, and identify potential upgrade opportunities to increase reliability. This could include working with high voltage power supplies, accelerators, and supporting control systems and auxiliary equipment.
