Logistics Coordinator

Position Summary: Boisset Collection is looking for an experienced and driven Logistics Coordinator to join the dynamic and fast growing négociant brand, Precision Wine Company. This individual will play an integral role within a small team, assisting with wine shipping logistics and wine inventory management of wine between multiple bottling facilities and warehouses. Strong communication skills and acute attention to detail will be critical to the success of this role. This position has a high responsibility level and reports to the Winemaker.
Essential Duties:
• Assists the Precision Winemaking Team with all related tasks, including but not limited to trucking logistics for bulk shipments, blends and bottlings between facilities. Assist in reconciling BOL’s for shipments.
• Tracks additive inventory at custom bottling facilities. Creates purchase orders and coordinates shipping of additives to respective facilities in preparations for bottlings. Occasional inter-facility additive pick-up and drop-offs. Maintains good working relationships with vendors.
• Assist bulk sample round up between multiple facilities and solicit samples for bulk wine tasting. Assist with organizing and maintaining bulk sample inventory/library.
• Use of InnoVint wine tracking software as needed. Potential for wine transaction data entry per experience.
• Purchase order approvals as needed.
• Potential harvest duties entail ordering and delivery of supplies as needed.
• COVID: Ensure team members comply with all COVID Safety Protocol put in place by Boisset Collection, including as policies change and update.
• Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures. Participate in safety training and report all unsafe conditions or work practices.
• Participate in team efforts and perform additional duties as needed.
Experience & Skills:
• Inventory work experience highly preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Project focused accountability and a can-do attitude.
• Efficient and self-driven, adept at clerical skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a fast growing company.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook,
Required Skills:
Language: Ability to speak and understand basic English required for all positions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as memos, instructions, policies and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to present information effectively to groups of customers and/or employees, and participate in one-on-one and small group situations. Excellent communications skills and a positive attitude are a plus.
Math:
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately, using standard American units of currency, weight, volume, and/or distance. Ability to recognize and correct inaccuracies when using calculator or computer spreadsheet. Ability calculate items such as discounts, commissions, simple interest, percentages, areas, circumference, and volume.
Logic:
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to a variety of tasks and duties. Ability to adapt to minor changes in routine, solve basic problems, and work with moderate supervision. A self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Computer:
• Possess strong computer skills which can include e-mail, internet, word processing, spreadsheet and basic database activity. Wine tracking software skills are not necessary, but highly valued.
Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses:
• Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school; or 2-4 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current, valid Driver’s License, insurable driving record, and proof of current automobile insurance required.
Physical Requirements:
Light-moderate physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach, handle items, and work with the fingers. May require lifting and moving objects up to 40 lbs in weight. Clear vision, close and distant, and ability to adjust focus. Hearing adequate for telephone and office level conversation.
Work Environment:
An indoor and outdoor environment with variable lighting, temperature and/or ventilation. Areas may or may not be heated, air-conditioned, or shaded. Outdoor periods frequently required in changing weather conditions. Exposure to fumes and/or a variety of chemicals. Moderate to high noise levels typical of machinery, power tools, vehicles, and other equipment. (Note: PPE provided for all workers.)
Schedule and Travel Requirements:
• Regular business schedule: Monday through Friday. Overtime as needed and per approval.
• Local travel required as needed (Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino & San Joaquin Counties)
• Position does not typically require overnight travel.
