Director of Nurses

The Director of Nursing/RN Supervisor is responsible for the management supervision, coordination, and evaluation of all clinical staff and the over site of all care provided
Purpose
- To ensure that quality and appropriate care is provided to all patients
- To ensure that all clinical staff have the skills and qualifications required by the federal, state, and local regulations and the Nurse Practice Act
- To provide direction to team members and support staff
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current license as registered nurse in the State his/her services is been rendered
- Minimum of two years of general nursing experience with one-year experience as a pediatric nurse preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and string interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of private duty/Home Health federal and state regulations
- Knowledge of reimbursement sources and documentation requirements
All Clinical Staff must provide documentation of the following:
- Medical Exam verifying that they are free from infectious diseases and are physically able to perform job functions
- The vaccination with Hepatitis B vaccine, or declination of Hepatitis B vaccination statement. If a declination is desired, the person requesting not to be vaccinated must sign a Hepatitis B Vaccination Declination
- An Annual TB Screening for negative results. If there is a history of positive PPD, a chest x-ray stating that the person is free from disease is required
- Able to lift and bend
Prior to employment the candidate must:
- Have a face to face or virtual interview with Bluefox Healthcare LLC representative
- Provide at least two professional references
- Show current state license to practice nursing, original social security card and Driver's license/ID to Bluefox Healthcare LLC representative (a copy will be made and keep on file)
- Complete and pass a criminal background check conducted by Bluefox Healthcare LLC representative or subcontractor
- Provide a resume with two reference indicating experience in patient care (Bluefox Healthcare LLC representative will verify employer reference)
- Complete a Skill Checklist and demonstrate competency that is observed, documented, and verified by signature of RN Supervisor or RN Designee
- Complete application form and meet all health requirements
To supervise all nursing personnel and provide a safe skilled work environment in respect to doctor's orders plans of care and within the scope of the nurse/aide
- Conducts initial assessment of all bodily system with complete documentation
- Provides direct supervision
- Reviews all plans of treatment for accuracy
- Supervises and trains nursing staff
- Performs supervisory visits on clients and staff
- Supports and carries out Bluefox Healthcare LLC policies
- Keeps abreast of new technological developments in nursing and health care.
- Develops, reviews, approves, and enforces written departmental policies and procedures
- Provision of a nurturing and safe environment for clients and staff
- Develops, implements, and update the Client's Plan of Care (POC)
- Conducts supervisory visits in the client's home or where they are receiving care by the clinical staff including observation/supervision of the RN, LPN and CNA/HHA at least every 30 days or as prescribed by the physician/payee/insurance source
- Maintain skills checklist for all nursing staff to ensure the demonstration of competency has been observed, documented, and verified by the signature of the RN Supervisor or RN designated by the Supervisor
