Job Summary
The Maintenance Coordinator will direct all maintenance activities and supervise maintenance colleagues involved in the day-to-day operations of the corn facility.

Essential Job Functions
Ensure compliance of safety, environmental, quality, and maintenance procedures/ policies.
Utilize the daily plan to coordinate manpower, parts, materials and equipment access to improve workforce productivity, safety and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays.
Coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities along with emergency work.
Facilitate maintenance projects utilizing strong project management skills and participate in plant projects when needed.
Supervise maintenance technicians including providing effective feedback on a daily basis and through quarterly performance conversations.
Ability to utilize independent judgment to solve problems, have excellent organizational skills, and strive for continuous improvement.
Assist maintenance technicians with testing and the qualification process.
Develop job plans for various tasks.
Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Foster a positive team working environment.
Read and understand mechanical and piping prints.
Have basic understanding of electrical to assist in equipment troubleshooting and lockout.
Have basic understanding of production plant equipment and process.
Act as a technical resource regarding plant equipment for various plant personnel.
Focus on identification of root causes and taking corrective action.
Acts as a liaison between Production and Maintenance departments.
Must be customer focused and be proactive in dealing with conflict, influencing others, listening, management of priorities, organization & planning, partnering, and utilizing a proactive approach to reliability.
Uses Maximo and other computer systems to maintain records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance information.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years in an industrial Maintenance position performing in-depth repair and maintenance of process equipment or technical degree in mechanical related field.
Requires experience in mechanical, piping, welding and hydraulics. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education requirements.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Strong commitment to Safety.
Strong organization skills and ability to plan priorities effectively.
Strong communication (spoken and written) skills for coordination, training, reporting and analysis. Listening skills also required.
Position is a day / first shift position but includes "on call" requirements. Must be willing to accept after-hour calls.

The scope of the position may have exposure to and use of chemicals, solvents, and cleaners that may be hazardous and/or cause injury if specific instructions regarding their mixture, use, and disposal/storage are not properly followed.
Inside areas:
Spring / Summer: Temperatures in some areas of the facility will be up to or exceed 100 degrees
Fall / Winter: Temperatures in the facility may be at or below freezing.
Outside areas:
Spring / Summer: Outside temperature may be up to or exceed 100 degrees with potential for high humidity. May be exposed to inclement weather conditions including, but not limited to, rain and wind.
Fall / Winter: Outside temperatures may reach freezing or below. May be exposed to inclement weather including, freezing rain, sleet, snow and wind.
Some manufacturing processes within the facility are highly reliant on machinery and other processing equipment and, as a result, noise levels may reach or exceed 85 decibels and require use of hearing protection for most of the work shift.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs from waist to shoulder on an occasional basis.
Must be able to push/pull up to 50lbs on an occasional basis.
Must be able to walk 1-3 hours.
Must be able to sit 5-8 hours.
Must be able to squat/kneel on an occasional basis.
