Job Purpose: Responsible for maintaining a professional and satisfied relationship with customers by providing product and service troubleshooting while educating about the features and benefits of their purchase.
Essential Functions
1. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customer equipment as necessary in a shop or field environment.
2. Instruct customers and/or employees on Bergkamp equipment and machines, as well as machine maintenance and repair.
3. Responsible for leading and performing equipment start-ups and provide training to crews and fleet services.
4. Assist engineers and product managers with design issues, provide feedback from field.
5. Assist sales team and product managers with customer questions.
6. Perform service and maintenance and repair problematic issues with machines in a shop or field environment
7. Provide customer service and relations with focus on operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
8. Complete final inspection of equipment once production is complete.
9. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures tools, materials and equipment at end of day.
10. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
11. Contributes to team effort by actively participating in team meetings.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Intermediate knowledge of ERP Service Module to include: initiating RMA’s, initiating service orders, and reviewing transactions.
Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. 1. High school diploma or equivalent, plus three to five years automotive mechanical, welding, electrical or other related experience generally required.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to customers, coworkers and management.
3. Overnight domestic and international travel, including weekends required at least sixty-five (65) percent of the time.
4. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, coworkers and management.
5. Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, procedure manuals, blueprints, and job instructions.
6. Ability to write technical reports and documents.
7. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
8. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
9. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
10. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
11. Ability to use common mechanic tools such as electric and air tools as well as ability to operate a forklift.
12. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical capabilities.
13. Ability to operate computer and computer software, to include Microsoft Office products and ERP system.
14. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
