I work for McLeod Hospital in Florence, SC as the Director of McLeod Physician Recruitment and we are seeking to hire a Hospice and Palliative Care physician for our large non-profit, private hospital. We are located 1 hour from Myrtle Beach, SC and 2 hours from Charleston, SC. The hours are from 8:00a - 5:00p Monday-Friday with easy call 1:5 weekends. McLeod Health is a private, non-profit institution founded in 1906 with nearly 950 physicians and 9,000 employees and 7 hospital campus locations. The 17 county area McLeod Health serves a population of more than one million. McLeod Health is a 565-bed tertiary care and teaching facility. We have over 900 beds system wide. We offer all service lines with the subspecialty support you may need during your practice here. This includes a Heart and Vascular Center, Level II Trauma Center, Chest Pain Accredited Center, New Progressively designed 120 bed ICU towers, Cancer Center, Hospitalist and Intensivist Departments and extensive Women's and Children's Services.

McLeod Hospice is a hospital owned hospice program started in 1978 as a volunteer organization. It became associated with McLeod Regional Medical center in 1984 and the Administrator has been with the program since 1988. 40 RNs, 8, chaplains, 2 full time physicians and 7 PRN physicians, 10 social workers and 20 home health aides. 24 bed freestanding Hospice House built in 2005 providing service to 11 counties is the strongest and longest serving hospice program in the region.
