Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Network Operation Technician to work in our Network Operations Center department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off. You willinstall, maintain, modify, test, and repair computer systems and information networks. Prepare project time and cost estimates,design, analyze, test, modify, document, and maintain complex network-based systems. Ensure system security is maintained. Candidate Identified Responsibilities Include: Plan, design, build, operate and maintain networks. Coordinate, oversee, and assist in deployment of new hardware, software, circuits, and fiber paths. Perform testing using specialized optical testing tools and monitoring software’s prior to start-up, during, and post deployments to ensure the highest quality of work is performed and addresses any issues and/or concerns that arise in the deployment. Monitor the network using monitoring software’s to ensure that the network is always in a healthy and available state. Provide expertise in equipment failures to determine the cause and recommend corrective actions. Use test, measurement, and diagnostic skills/equipment to determine the cause of malfunctions and category of maintenance required. Restore services in a timely manner to minimize downtime and impact on the users. Assist in the creating and establishment of work standards, methods, and controls for preventative and unscheduled maintenance actions. Provide technical expertise in the closer of work orders and tickets *Minimum Requirements: * * High School or equivalent and 6 years related experience. * Ability to operate standard office equipment and other technical equipment * This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. *Job Information: * The pay range for this position is $29.46 min - $48.61 max.
