Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Security Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of security principles and practices, extensive experience in IT architecture, and the ability to develop and implement comprehensive security solutions. This role requires a proactive individual who can anticipate security challenges and design strategies to mitigate risks effectively, while also providing leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Implementation: Develop and implement advanced security architectures for various IT projects. Ensure that security is integrated into all stages of system development and deployment.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Identify potential security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Policy Development: Create, review, and update security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Incident Response: Lead the response to major security incidents, conduct thorough investigations, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, development, and business teams to ensure security measures are in place and adhered to. Provide security guidance and support for new projects and technologies.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver advanced security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
- Technology Evaluation: Stay up to date with the latest security technologies and trends. Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security architectures, policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior security team members. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex security architectures.
- Extensive experience with risk assessment and management.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or SANS GIAC are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Extensive experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a security team.
