Role Summary:

This position serves as a Lead Security Architect within the Security Architecture team, focusing on the design, analysis, and implementation of security frameworks. The role involves assessing and optimizing system designs and ensuring alignment with security policies.

The architect will collaborate with various IT domains, including database management and technical support, while also engaging with GIS Solutions Architects throughout the project lifecycle. Although this role does not include direct reports, it may influence team activities related to specific initiatives.

Engagement Level: This role operates at both the team and program levels, functioning as an individual contributor with minimal supervision. The architect will also mentor junior team members and contribute to multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across business and technology to establish secure architectural visions aligned with GIS policies.
  • Consult with business units to identify challenges and devise secure solutions through practical experimentation.
  • Rapidly develop high-level architectural designs that adapt to evolving business requirements.
  • Utilize established best practices to create architectural documentation and suggest enhancements.
  • Work with Product Managers to prioritize security-focused initiatives within the architecture framework.
  • Assist development teams with system design and provide solutions to architectural challenges.
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Educate team members on security principles and best practices for secure solution development.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in asymmetric and symmetric key encryption techniques.
  • Familiarity with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and their interfaces.
  • Knowledge of encryption methods for network and application layers.
  • Experience with cloud encryption solutions.
  • Understanding of secrets management and identity protocols.
  • Ability to identify and assess the security of cryptographic algorithms.
  • Strong interest in designing scalable cryptographic solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Information Security.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Credit/Payment Card industry.
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS standards.
